AP/AR Specialist

AP, AR & Payroll Mid-level In office, Ahmedabad or Indore

Open role

We reply to every application.

At Accountably, we connect top talent in India with exciting opportunities at US CPA, EA, and accounting firms. The company was founded by a US-licensed CPA who spent 7+ years inside US firms.

About the Role

One seat, both sides of the cycle, on a weekly rhythm. You prepare and apply; the firm approves and escalates. Payment batches go to the firm for approval, and you never release them yourself.

You Will

  • Capture, code and three-way match vendor invoices
  • Keep the vendor master clean and run duplicate detection
  • Build payment batches to the client's terms and send them for approval
  • Issue client invoices, apply receipts and clear unapplied cash
  • Work the AR ageing with the follow-up sequence the client approved, and log disputes
  • Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts

Tools

Bill.com, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, Sage, Ramp, Expensify, Dext, Hubdoc, Stripe, Chaser

About You

Your Background

  • A commerce, accounting or CA-track degree for early-career roles, or two-plus years in accounting or tax for experienced roles
  • Strong accounting fundamentals and the will to learn US work. We teach the US side.

Nice to Have

US experience helps and shapes the role you start in. Any of these is a plus:

  • Vendor master maintenance, W-9 collection and bank detail change checks
  • Cash application, short pays and deductions
  • Ageing analysis and dispute escalation packs
  • Time in Bill.com, QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite or Sage

Why This Role

You handle a client's payables and receivables together, on one weekly rhythm. Specialists who earn it move on to the harder files: three-way matching at volume, deductions and disputes, vendor statement reconciliation and month-end accrual support.
