At Accountably, we connect top talent in India with exciting opportunities at US CPA, EA, and accounting firms. The company was founded by a US-licensed CPA who spent 7+ years inside US firms.
About the Role
The seat produces less and reviews more. You read every finished close against its support, write review notes in the firm's format, and coach each accountant on what keeps recurring. The output is closes that reach the partner already checked, and a revision count that falls.
You Will
- Review every close the accounting seats produce
- Own the close calendar across the book, and reassign work when it slips
- Write, send and clear review notes in the firm's format
- Prepare technical positions for the partner's call: revenue recognition, leases, intercompany
- Read every reporting pack before it goes up
- Report revision rate by seat and by pattern, and keep client SOPs current
Tools
QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Fathom, Jirav, Spotlight Reporting, Karbon, TaxDome, Bill.com
About You
Your Background
- A commerce, accounting or CA-track degree for early-career roles, or two-plus years in accounting or tax for experienced roles
- Strong accounting fundamentals and the will to learn US work. We teach the US side.
Nice to Have
US experience helps and shapes the role you start in. Any of these is a plus:
- US GAAP: revenue recognition, leases, accruals and cut-off, fixed assets
- Multi-entity consolidation, intercompany and multi-currency
- Cash to accrual, year-end adjustments and tax-basis bridges
- A CPA credential
Why This Role
You lead review for a book of clients, coach the accountants who prepare it, and take the judgment calls to a US partner. Seniors work with firm partners directly, on calls, rather than through a middleman.
